Beijing, 20th October, 2016 (BISTU)--- Further cooperation between School of Engineering and Information of Athlone Institute of Technology and School of Computer Science of BISTU is explored when AIT delegation led by Dr. Austin Hanley, Head of the School, visit BISTU on 20th October, 2016.

Li Ning, Dean of School of Computer Science, offers an introduction to the school in respect of majors and research. Hanley also in detail introduces his school as well as scholarships and paid internship. Both parties also discuss cooperative programs on 3+1+1 of undergraduate level and postgraduate level. Course mapping and credit transfer have been confirmed and consensus has also been reached on faculties mutual visit.

With its world class software engineering institute, AIT’s strength in software engineering and cloud computing is recognized all over the world. It has become the leading power in construction of internet of things in Ireland. Until now, AIT remains the only university who work with Ericsson in joint education on master degrees. BISTU School of Computer Science has already selected a postgraduate student to attend scholarship project at Ericsson. And Hanley expresses that he would try to create more opportunities for BISTU students to conduct paid internship at Ericsson.
