Beijing, 22nd March 2023 (BISTU)--- Bachelor of Engineering in Intelligent Interactive Design, a new undergraduate program that BISTU has filed application to Ministry of Education for approval, was officially approved, according to the notice published by MOE on undergraduate programs at universities of China. As of today, BISTU offers 45 undergraduate programs in total.
BEng Intelligent Interactive Design incorporates mechanical engineering, design, computer science and technology, etc. It is oriented towards a new era of intelligent interconnectivity and integration of reality and virtual reality. Aiming at providing service and support with formation and development of new productive forces in the area of “artificial intelligence plus interactive design”, the program is based on the University’s academic strengths in information technology and industrial design and centers on cultivation of students’ interdisciplinary competences in artificial intelligent, artistic design, and interactive design.
Following the principle of “design for a better world of intelligence”, the program covers planning, design, and development sections of interactive design. Graduates of this program would be qualified, innovative talents of applied learning engaging in planning, design, operations, testing and control in scenarios like intelligent manufacturing, intelligent product design in information technology, complicated system interface design, cultural digital design, and innovative AI design.
BISTU has been dedicated to meeting the demand of our times for high-quality development. Seizing the opportunities in building new engineering and new liberal arts disciplines, the University has comprehensively implemented the guideline of fostering virtue through education and promoted construction of first-class programs. Emphasis has been put on the demand of high-grade, advanced, precision industries of Beijing in the new generation of information technology, intelligent equipment, artificial intelligence, software, and information service. New interdisciplinary programs and orientations have been successfully developed. A cluster of programs featured for “information technology plus intelligence” has been built to strengthen our ability in serving social and economic development of our society.
Future efforts would be invested in national strategic development, regional social and economic development, and enhancement of the quality of nurturing high level innovative talents of applied learning.
