Beijing, 23rd March, 2018 (BISTU)— BISTU delegation, headed by President Wang Yongsheng and Vice President Chen Gang, visits Tsinghua University for the purpose of co-construction of Instrumentation Science and Technology. The delegation is received by Prof. You Zheng, Vice President of Tsinghua University and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and directors of relating divisions and departments.  

On behalf of Tsinghua University, You Zheng extends warmest welcome to BISTU delegation and introduces past experiences of collaboration between BISTU and Tsinghua in respect of education, disciplinary construction, academic research, etc. as well as feature and strengths of Department of Precision Instrument. You Zheng says that Tinghua University would like to work together with BISTU in construction of Instrumentation Science and Technology to better serve key strategic needs of the nation and Beijing so as to achieve win-win cooperation between the two institutions.  

Wang Yongsheng expresses thanks to Tsinghua University for the warm reception and support. Following his introduction to history and development of BISTU and of the discipline Instrumentation Science and Technology, Wang Yongsheng points out that the past few years have witnessed successful collaboration between Tsinghua and BISTU in respect of talent introduction, academic research and construction of research platforms. It is hoped that both institutions continue to work together in a broad spectrum on a deeper level so as to produce support for science and technology, culture and intellectual support for national social economic development.  

Both institutions discuss details of collaboration in co-construction of Instrumentation Science and Technology as a discipline at BISTU, including mode of cooperation, mechanism and system, resources support, progress scheme, etc. and reach preliminary consensus on a number of issues.
