Beijing, 27th April 2023 (BISTU)--- Striving to be the best, the young generation would overcome all difficulties to achieve their dreams. BISTU bestowed the first cohort of May Fourth Medals on young faculties and teams based on their outstanding performance to actually promote thematic education at the University. The winners included ten individuals for “May Fourth Medals for Young People”, three teams for “May Fourth Medals for Teams”, 7 individuals for “Nomination of May Fourth Medals”, and 3 teams for “Nomination of May Fourth Medals for Teams”.  

These winners included the video creator who has brought BISTU to millions of Chinese people, outstanding students who have published a number of SCI papers, volunteers who have been dedicated to Beijing Winter Olympics and Beijing Winter Paralympics, women volunteers who have provided dedicated service with covid-19 pandemic containment in communities, and winners of municipal-level sports events. Their youth was reflected in the warmth and strengths they have passed on to the society. And they were the verification of comprehensive education and integrity and accountability of modern young Chinese generation.  

The winners also included young faculties who were courageous to shoulder the responsibility of reform and development of their schools, young people who have contributed to coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei with the spirit of diligence and honor, teams who have selflessly contributed to rural revitalization, and class counselors who have provided invaluable protection for life and health of students during covid-19 pandemic.  

All winners are exceptional representatives of young people in the New Era and role models for all BISTUers. Their prominent pursuits and accomplishments will for sure bring contributions to our goal of building a high level university of applied learning with distinctive feature in information technology and the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
