Upon invitation of School of Information and Communication Engineering, Professor Chi Chongyung from National Tsing Hua University delivered an academic report titled Efficient Beamforming Algorithms for Outage Constrained Weighted Sum-Rate Maximization in MISO Interference Channel.  

Professor Chi Chongyung was awarded doctoral degree by Department of Electric Machinery of South California University in 1983 and worked at JPL until 1988. From 1989 till now he has been working for National Tsing Hua University. Prof. Chi Chongyung is a senior member of IEEE and commissioner of a number of professional committees in the area of wireless communication and signal processing.  

On the report, Prof. Chi Chongyung explained the way to achieve maximum rate and best quality in mobile communication through convex optimization and cooperative communication. He also offered a prospectus of mobile communication.
