Wang Chuanliang Visits the No. 208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries

 

Beijing, 31st March 2022 (BISTU)--- BISTU delegation headed by Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee visited the No. 208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries on 31st March 2022 and met with Secretary Xiang Jiayun of the Institute. The delegation members included Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Fang Deying, and Vice President Chen Xin. Both institutions explored issues regarding employment of graduating students and academic cooperation.  

 

Wang Chuanliang noted that CPC BISTU Committee had attached great importance to employment of graduating students and had launched a campaign on promoting BISTU graduates and finding more opportunities for them in renowned institutions and companies. The campaign was led by secretaries and deans of all BISTU schools, aiming at facilitating cooperation between the University and institutions and companies of all trades. The No. 208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries, as one of the leading institutions of the kind, offered great room for collaboration with BISTU in a number of areas. It was hoped that in the future both institutions would strengthen cooperation to make greater contributions to development of Beijing and of the nation.  

 

Xiang Jiayun pointed out that BISTU and the No. 208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries, respectively as outstanding representatives of universities and companies, had made preeminent achievements in some areas. In the near future the No. 208 Research Institute of China Ordnance was aiming at big-stride development and hoped to establish long-lasting, stable cooperative links with BISTU in respect of placement of students, job offers, and academic research. It would build a mutual beneficial pattern of collaboration for both institutions. Said Xiang Jiayun.  

Both institutions explored detailed issues regarding talent cultivation, academic research, employment of graduating students, etc. And the delegation was shown around the museum for light weapons.  

 

The meeting and discussions were also attended by directors of the No. 208 Research Institute, including Deputy Director Han Yu of General Administration Office, Deputy Director Hu Yanling of HR Office, Deputy Director Li Chengzhe of Intelligence and Innovation Office (Li is a BISTU alumnus graduated in 2008), Deputy Director Yu Dongmei of System Simulation Evaluation Center, Deputy Director Li Pengjie of Soldier System Research Office, Deputy Director Yin Zhaojie of Smart Ammunition Office, and Deputy Director Bi Shibo of HR Office and BISTU directors including Director Wang Zhiyong of General Administration Office, Director Wang Lei of Admissions and Career Consultation Office, and Director Ma Shaohui of External Liaison Office.
