Beijing, 26th April, 2016(BISTU)--- Vice President Xu Baojie meets with University of Applied Sciences Jena delegation led by Prof. Martin Garzke, Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The two institutions discuss on dual degree project in mechanical engineering and students exchange program.

Xu Baojie introduces latest progress as well as strategic goals of BISTU. Currently BISTU is conducting integration between majors in mechanical manufacturing and those in information technology, aiming at catering to new development trends. Of course, educational internationalization is always one of BISUT’s strategic objectives. The University spares no efforts, as always, to enhancing exchange and communication of students and faculties with international friends so as to broaden their global horizon. Said Xu Baojie.

Dean Garzke discusses detailed cooperation regarding implementation of dual degree project, internship in Germany, and other issues related to learning and field practice in Germany with Prof. Huang Min, Dean of School of Electromechanical Engineering and Yan Jian, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office. Garzke said that five out of six applicants of BISTU have successfully passed the test and been admitted to Jena. It is expected that these students would invest more time and energy in various student activities so as to quickly adapt themselves to another language and culture for their future development.

The entrance exam to dual degree project in Mechanical Design at UAS Jena was held between 25th and 26th April 2016, when UAS Jena delegation visited BISTU and discussed on further cooperation.
