Beijing, BISTU, APRIL 24th, 2016--- Sponsored by China Machinery Industry Federation and hosted by BISTU, senior workshop "IntelliSense and Internet Plus" embraced its opening ceremony on Ciaoying campus.  

The opening ceremony welcomes a number of scholars and experts of the field, including Yu Qingji, Executive Vice Chair of the Federation, Academician and VP of Tsinghua University You Zheng, and BISTU President Wang Yongsheng. The ceremony is presided by VP Xu Baojie.　 

The senior workshop specially aims at offering professional training with technicians in industries of machinery and smart manufacturing. It is a timely response of China Machinery Industry Federation to national policy in respect of nurturing advanced level and urgently-requested talents. It has substantial implications for national strategy of "Made in China 2025" and "Internet Plus", for speeding up development of smart manufacturing industry, and for in-depth integration of informatization and industrialization.  

On behalf of China Machinery Industry Federation, Yu Qingji expresses warm welcome to all participants of the workshop and extend gratitude to BISTU for successfully hosting the event. After offering an introduction to implications and background of the workshop, Yu Qingji stresses on historical connections between BISTU and the Federation. She also quotes a large quantity of data to illustrate current status, role, past development, and the key role of machinery industry in national economy. The beginning year of the 13th Five- year Plan is also a crucial year for transition and upgrading of machinery industry. Said Yu Qingji.  The current problem is that China has a giant, but not strong enough, machinery industry with insufficient competence of innovation. The whole industry needs to give a good thought to a series of issues, including how to research, develop and hold core technology, how to improve stability and reliability of product quality, and how to construct a strong machinery industry. It is a precious opportunity for participants of the workshop to be more innovative and more competent. She stresses. 

President Wang Yongsheng expresses thanks to the Federation for the trust and support in hosting the workshop. He introduces history, tradition, strength and achievements of BISTU. The University will spare no effort to building up sound conditions and offering service of excellence with the workshop. Said Wang Yongsheng. Also the University will take the workshop as a new start to give full play to BISTU's features and strengths. With guidance of the Federation and based on BISTU learning resources and academic achievements, the University will nurture more advanced professionals for the industry and the nation.  

The workshop gathers highly qualified teaching staff, including Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and VP of Tsinghua University You Zheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, PH.D. supervisor, and Prime Scientist of National 973 Project Tan Jianrong. Courses are focused on dynamic development of advanced detection technology, key technology and development of smart manufacturing, new sensor technology in smart manufacturing equipments, big data and in-depth data digging, Internet of things, and robot technology.  

After the ceremony, Professor You Zheng delivers the first lecture on Dynamic Development of Advanced Mornitoring and Detection Technology.
