Beijing, 14th June 2022 (BISTU)--- Online Training Course for Administrative Staffs from 30th May to 13th June 2022 organized by International Cooperation Department of BISTU successfully completed. Keynote speeches and seminars of the Training Course were offered to over 40 administrative staffs from 7 BISTU schools by professors and experts of George Mason University (GMU), i.e., Dean Dr. Mark Rozell of Schar School of Policy and Government, Chair Prof. Daniel Chen of Higher Education Department, Prof. April Mattix Foster of School of Education, Director Chris Anclien of Human Resources and Planning, etc.
The whole training course was delivered in English on higher educational development, including system and regimes of higher education, organizational structure and administration pattern, staff development, evaluation system on performance, responsibilities of various tiers of administrative staffs, cultivation and development of leadership, application of big data technology in management, supports provided with students, facilitation of teaching, etc. Surge of covid-19 pandemic virtually has stopped BISTU administrative staffs from going to actual classrooms and premises in GMU. However, International Cooperation Department specially arranged live broadcast for the training course to show administrative staffs around on GMU and Washington DC where GMU is based while offering a detailed introduction to how the US universities have coped with covid-19 pandemic.
The online training course served as a beneficial supplement considering the constant impact of covid-19 pandemic upon education. BISTU administrative staffs have obtained a sound understanding of educational system and administrative operations of the US universities and conducted a number of discussions with the US peers on actual problems and issues at work. It laid a solid foundation for strengthening the comprehensive competence of the University in educational globalization.
