Vice President Feng Xichun Meeting with BGSU Delegation

Beijing, 29th May, 2015(BISTU)--- MBA cooperative project and AACSB accreditation at BISTU were fully explored during the meeting between Vice President Feng Xichun and Bowling Green State University delegation headed by Professor Ray Braun, Dean of College of Business.

Feng Xichun extended his warmest welcome to Prof. Ray Braun and the guests, followed by his introduction to BISTU and recent achievements in teaching and research. He felt pleased with the fruitful cooperation in students exchange between the two institutions. Said Feng Xichun. Thanks were given to Prof. Braun and his colleagues for their care and consideration with BISTU exchange students. It is hoped that the two institutions will further expand cooperation and implement more projects, including faculty exchanges.     

Prof. Ray Braun introduced BGSU College of Business, with a focus on MBA programme. BISTU students could apply for master programmes and GMAT and TOEFL would be exempted, if their grades in the final year at BGSU are satisfactory. He stressed that BGSU is dedicated to students’ success. BISTU students have proved their competence with their efforts. He also discussed on cooperation in respect of MBA and supply chain management and confirmed the next step of promoting the cooperation.   

BGSU College of Business has been accredited by AACSB in as early as 1958. In 1970s it gained accreditation on accounting by AACSB and become one of the 108 business schools of the world who have been accredited by AACSB. BGSU is strong in business studies area, with its supply chain management ranking top 25 of all America, master of accounting top 40, and master of students’ entrepreneurship top 50. The College also provides students with quite a number of opportunities for social communication and off-campus internship, further securing their future success. As a board expert, Prof. Ray Braun offered explanation on details in AACSB accreditation and expressed he would fully support BISTU with the accreditation and was willing to support.

A specific seminar was arranged following the meeting. BGSU delegation offered more information on studying with the College and other issues related.     

The meeting was also attended by Prof. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department, Prof. Ge Xinquan, Dean of School of Economics and Management and Vice Dean Qu Li.
