Sponsored by Information & Network Management Center, School of Computer Science, and University Youth League Committee and hosted by University Students’ Union, BISTU First TRS Cup Campus Mobile Applications Contest Successfully held the finals on 27^th September 2013. Prof. Feng Xichun, Vice President of BISTU and Prof. Lin Guoce, Assistant to Vice President & Director of General Administration Office were present at the finals. Judges of the finals was Shi Shuicai, Director-General of Beijing TRS (Text Retrieval System) Information Technology Co. Ltd., Prof. Shen Xiaochun, Director of Information Center of Remin University of China, Prof. Jia Zhuosheng, Director of Information Center of Beijing Jiaotong University, Prof. Li Ning, Dean of BISTU School of Computer Science, and Prof. Zhou Changsheng, Director of BISTU Computer Center.  

In his opening speech for the finals, Prof. Feng Xichun emphasized the importance of mobile applications in every aspect of social life. He encouraged the students to be more innovative, communicative, and to further enhance their team spirit.  

Teams included in the final are ten representatives from BISTU schools. Their applications covered study, life and entertainment. Cultural Campus--- an application designed by Zhou Xinand his team--- won the championship by its unique interface and powerful function in connecting students with campus life. Class and Lectures on Codes --- an application designed by Li Zhanyu and his team--- obtained the silver prize by its esay-to-use curriculum schedule and its interactive capability. The bronze medal was taken by Qin Jingyu’s team with their application Campus in Pocket. Judges were also very impressed with two other applications: the IOS based Class Note ---designed by Ma Kui, and God’s Hand and the Thief--- an innovative interactive game.   

After the application display, Prof. Jia Zhuosheng offered the general comments on the finals. Mr. Shi Shuicai congratulated the contests and shared with the students his own invaluable experiences in development of mobile application technology.
