Beijing, 22nd November 2023 (BISTU)---China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) delegation headed by Deputy Secretary Hu Guodong of CPC CCID Committee visited BISTU and met with Vice President Chen Xin on 21st November 2023.  

Chen Xin extended warm welcome to Hu Guodong and CCID delegation members. Following his introduction to BISTU in respect of historical development, construction of the New Campus, and latest progresses in academic research, Chen Xin expressed that BISTU and CCID were seeing a broad spectrum of cooperation since both belonged to the former Ministry of Electronics Industry and had a lot in common in research strengths. It was hoped that both institutions would strengthen communication to jointly promote cultivation of innovation-oriented and practice-based talents, enhance improvement of academic research, and facilitate commercialization of research achievements.  

Hu Guodong offered an introduction to CCID in respect of organizational structure, faculties, development, and research progresses. He affirmed the achievements that BISTU School of Computer Science has made. CCID research institutes and laboratories would strengthen cooperation with School of Computer Science in joint cultivation of talents, deepening joint research, and commercialization of research achievements with special expectation on foundation model. Hu Guodong said.  

Dean Li Ning of Computer Science School offered an introduction to the School, including talent cultivation, academic research, staff development, exchange and cooperation, etc. He hoped that cooperation with CCID would commence in the field of talent cultivation, academic research, and teaching facilities.  

The meeting and talk were attended by Deputy Director Qiao Dong of CCID Information Center, Deputy General Manager of CCID Software Testing Company as well as directors and faculties of BISTU Office for Scientific Research, School of Computer Science, and Information and Network Center.
