China Unicom Visited BISTU

Beijing, 4th September 2026 (BISTU)--- China Unicom delegation headed by Deputy General Manager Miao Shouye visited BISTU on 4th September 2026. Chairperson Xie Jiangling met with the delegation and hosted the meeting attended by Vice President He Wei.

On behalf of the University, Xie Jiangling extended sincere thanks to China Unicom for their support and reaffirmed achievements of the past cooperation. Following an introduction to BISTU in respect of history, academic disciplines, research strengths, etc., he pointed out that recent years have witnessed substantial increase in admissions quality. Average salary of BISTU graduates remained top 40 nationwide. The year 2026 also saw that BISTU entered academic ranking of world universities. Xie Jiangling added that China Unicom is a leading enterprise in information and communication industry, with its salient strengths in communications, big data, and network security. It was hoped that both parties seize the opportunities coming along with AI development. Comprehensive, multi-layered cooperation could be explored in the field of embodied intelligence to build a model of school-enterprise cooperation. Xie Jiangling said.

Miao Shouye commented that BISTU has great strengths in information technology. The AI era offered great opportunities for growth of the University. He hoped that both parties would strengthen cooperation in sci-tech innovation, talent cultivation, and building of intelligent campus. Specifically, the two parties would work perfectly together in the field of humanoid robot, embodied intelligence, construction of computility platform, and joint research. He added.

Miao Shouye and delegation members visited master control center of the Art and Science Building and inspected the intellisense system which were jointly developed by both parties.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Manager Wan Guoqing of Product and Market Innovation Department of China Unicom, Manager Ling Chen of Changping Branch, Deputy Manager Wang Liqiang of Public Market Division of Beijing Branch, Deputy Manager Yang Fan of Industrial Center of Public Market Division of Beijing Branch, Deputy Manager Xiao Zishuo of Changping Branch as well as directors of the President’s Office, Department of Facilities and Maintenance Management, Department of Infrastructure Management, and University Information and Network.
