Beijing, 30th March, 2015(BISTU)--- Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin, President of Athlone Institute of Technology, is to offer a one-week lectures to faculties and students of BISTU, as discussed and arranged in the meeting with BISTU President Liu Gonghui and Vice President Feng Xichun.  

As a professor and doctor of management, Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin has made preeminent achievements in the field of educational management, financial management, and tourism management. He was appointed Honourable Professor of BISTU in March 2012.  

Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin delivered his first lecture to MBA students on 29^th March, initiating his week-long lectures for School of Economics and Management of BISTU. his lectures will cover the topics like world-class entrepreneurship, innovation in starting a business, leadership changes in organizations, practices and theories of management, etc. This is the first time that BISTU has accommodated president of an international institution in offering series lectures.    

President Liu Gonghui extends his heartfelt thanks to Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin for his lectures arranged beyond his very tight schedule. Suggestions and advices on internationalization of BISTU were also more than welcome from Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin. Said President Liu Gonghui.  

Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin said he was happy to deliver the lectures to BISTU faculties and students who have truly impressed him. He enjoyed the communication and exchange with them.

Regarding the joint doctoral programme between the two institutions, President Ciarán Ó Catháin confirmed that Software Research Institute of Athlone Institute of Technology has planned to conduct the programme. Both institutions discussed on the academic fields to be included and reached consent on selection of BISTU master students of excellence in participating tuition-free master and doctoral programmes at AIT.
