Beijing, 2^nd September 2023 (BISTU)---　The Conference on learning and implementing the guidelines of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s letter of reply to senior professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts was held on 30^th August 2023 at Central Academy of Fine Arts. The Conference was addressed by Vice Minister Wang Jiayi of Ministry of Education. BISTU Vice President Xiao Zhisong attended the Conference upon invitation.  

Attendants of the Conference watched a feature video clip on Central Academy of Fine Arts in learning and implementing the guidelines of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s letter of reply to senior professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts and explored possible pathways of aesthetic education in the new era.  

Xiao Zhisong was showed around the exhibition on outstanding cases in aesthetic education among universities in China. On the fifth anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s letter of reply to senior professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy initiated a display on outstanding cases in aesthetic education among universities in China. The Beauty of Science, the case of BISTU, was listed as one of the outstanding cases and displayed in the Academy from 28^th August to 28^th October 2023 and would also be showed online from 18^th August to 17^th September 2023 on CCTV online platform.  

The University invested great efforts in learning and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions and guidelines on aesthetic education and has included aesthetic education in the whole process of talent cultivation. Based on academic strengths, the University has built up a five-in-one aesthetic educational system incorporating curricula of public arts, aesthetic education in academic programs, aesthetic practice, high-level aesthetic experience, and aesthetic culture on campus. Centering on aesthetic education, the University would also combine the strengths in information technology with aesthetic education to provide support with all-round development of students.
