Prof. Wim R starts the lecture by a campus tour of Delft University of Technology, followed by his research project, i.e., Management of Global Infrastructure and Sustainable Innovation. He believes construction of infrastructure cannot be viewed a single session. With regard to management of such construction, benefits of all relevant parties shall be taken into consideration. The relevant parties do not only refer to government and companies, but also local residents. Only with consent of all parties after negotiation can these construction be really implemented.

In his lecture, Prof. Wim R produces a large number of actual examples to illustrate the importance of negotiation and consent, including the agricultural project of the Netherlands in Indonesia, construction project of Rotterdam port, etc.

This lecture offers the postgraduate students a face-to-face chance of meeting high-degree experts. Exchange of thoughts and communication with experts also help stimulate and inspire the students in learning specialty knowledge.
