Beijing, 22nd August 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU FAI Team, all four members from School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, i.e., Yang Changru, Zhao Dezuo, Yao Chaofan, and Shi Huiping, won the second prize of complete model group in the finals of the 18th National College Students Intelligent Car Competition held from 17th to 19th August 2023 at Tiangong University.  

Sponsored by MOE Steering Committee for Automation Teaching in Universities, National College Students Intelligent Car Competition is a competition for creativity in intelligent cars and is one of the sci-tech competitions advocated by MOE. The Finals saw 504 elite teams selected from 3138 team in five sub-sections, i.e., north east, north China, east China, south China, and west, and three provincial sections, i.e., Anhui, Shandong, and Zhejiang. The complete model group has accommodated 51 teams from Hangzhou Dianzi University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Harbin Institute of Technology, etc.  

After being selected for the Finals, FAI team members have been busying in preparations for the competition even during the summer holiday. With thorough preparations, they have collaborated with each other in a perfect manner and finally won a second prize.  

BISTU has been sparing no efforts to cultivating independent innovative capabilities of students. Students were encouraged to attend academic subject competitions of various kinds to improve their hands-on skills, innovative competence, and comprehensive qualities so that they would graduate as high quality talents of applied learning with tenacity and strong team spirits.
