BISTU Welcomes BGSU Delegation

Beijing, March 21st, 2014(BISTU)---Prof. Han Qiushi, Vice President of BISTU discussed graduate student exchanges and joint doctoral degree programme with Prof. Michael Ogawa, Vice President and Dean of Graduate School of Bowling Green State University (BGSU) and Prof. Maureen Wilson, Chair of Department of Higher Education and Student Affairs.


Following introduction to achievements that BISTU has made in past years, Prof. Han Qiushitalked about the well-grounded cooperation between BISTU and BGSU. He said the past successes in 3+1, 3+1+1, and 2+2 programmes were fruits of friendship and goodwill of both institutions. More areas were to be explored for joint doctoral and master degree programmes. BISTU highly valued the friendly cooperation and would offer more opportunities with students under the framework of BISTU and BGSU cooperation.

Prof. Michael Ogawa was happy to witness the positive progresses of cooperation between two universities. He identified that both universities attached importance to combination of research and teaching, international exchange and communication, and education of professional masters. BGSU has been dedicated to offering quality education to professional master students. He expressed that BGSU would like to implement joint master and doctoral degree programmes with BISTU.

BISTU professors were also present at the meeting, including Prof. Wang Jiuhe, Standing Vice Dean of Graduate School, Prof. Ge Xinquan, Dean of School of Economics and Management, and Prof. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department.
