BISTU Listed as Top 10% in Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition

Beijing, 29th April 2022, (BISTU)--- BISTU ranked top 10% (the 42th, a record high) in the 16th “Chips in Shaoxing”- “GigaDevice Cup” Electronic Design Competition for Postgraduate Students of China. The Competition was supervised by Postgraduate Education Department of Ministry of Education and co-sponsored by China Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, Center of Science & Technology for Young Adults of China Association for Science and Technology, and China Institute of Electronics.  

  

The University has been attaching great importance to the important role of academic subject competition in cultivating practical, innovative competences and team spirit of postgraduate students. The year 2021 saw outstanding achievements in the Competition with joint efforts from Postgraduate School, School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, and School of Automation. The team of Automation School was honored with a first prize and a second prize respectively for Auditory Positioning Based Videography Car  and Embedded Intelligent Gateway based on Modbus Protocol ---both supervised by Prof. Chen Wenbai. The team of School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering was honored with a first prize of North China section and a second prize of national finals for low-cost high-speed micro-spectrometer--- supervised by Prof. Zhou Zhehai.  

The University would provide consistent, strong support with high-level academic subject competitions and view such competitions as one of the substantial tools in boosting practical, innovative competences of postgraduate students.
