Beijing, 25th March 2022 (BISTU)--- Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee and President Wang Yongsheng visit Beijing International Studies University and meet with Secretary Gu Xiaoyuan of CPC BISU Committee, President Ji Jinbiao, and Director Li Zhen (member of Standing Committee of CPC BISU Committee ) of Organizational and Human Resources Department on 24th March 2022 while extending congratulations to Wang Xiuyan, former Deputy Secretary of CPC BISTU Committee, for transferring to BISU.  

Reviewing the latest progresses BISTU has made in recent years, Wang Chuanliang offers an introduction to three historic missions the University has accomplished, i.e., construction of the New Campus, approval of doctoral programs, and breakthroughs in academic research and teaching. It is expected that BISTU and BISU will strengthen collaboration based on mutual benefits and work closely together to contribute to quality development of Beijing and of the nation. Says Wang Chuanliang.  

Following her introduction to Beijing International Studies University, Gu Xiaoyuan comments that BISU, with the support of China’s late premier Zhou Enlai, was just a general training school for foreign language and has now become a  renowned university in international studies. With “Integrity, Diligence, Truth, and Leadership” as its motto, BISU has long dedicated itself to passing down eastern and western civilizations and cultural and educational exchanges between China and other countries. Students are inspired to learn from both civilizations and achieve the unity of knowing and doing, while its exceptional faculty is committed to offering students education in the spirit of humanities education.  

Then Wang Chuanliang and Wang Yongsheng are shown around exhibition of the university history and several BISU institutions including Big Data Institute of Culture and Tourism Research, lab of simultaneous interpretation, and China Academy for Public Policy Translation.
