Beijing, 2nd September 2025 (BISTU)--- Prof. Li Zhuo, Director of Department of International Affairs and Dean of College of International Education, met with the delegation of Saraburi Debsirin School of Thailand on 2nd September 2025 to strengthen ties for Sino-Thailand cultural exchange and communication.

Li Zhuo extended warm greetings to Saraburi Debsirin School delegation and offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of educational features, academic disciplines, and talent cultivation. He pointed out that BISITU is committed to building a globalized university and would like to make contributions to coordinated development of regional education and friendship between Chinese and Thai youth.
Dr. Kij Soonthorn, Chairman of Chinese Studies Center Fund of Debsirin Schools, briefly introduced the Chinese Studies Center and Debsirin Schools. He expressed that Chinese as a language has been included in national strategy for foreign languages education in Thailand and has become an important part of basic education in Thailand, as is planned by Thailand Ministry of Education. Chinese Studies Center Fund of Debsirin Schools aims to provide Chinese training and promote Chinese education among 12 Debsirin schools. He spoke highly of academic strengths in information technology and the dynamic international atmosphere at BISTU. It is expected that both institutions are to further strengthen cooperation. He added.
In-depth discussions were conducted on construction of pools of future students, admissions of international students, short-term training programs, etc. Both institutions agreed to explore new talent cultivation models incorporating “Chinese + information technology” and “Chinese + artificial intelligence”.

The dialogue represents a new start for friendly cooperation between the two institutions and an important practice of BISTU in serving national strategy. It helps lay a solid foundation for future development of international student education at BISTU.
