BISTU achieved excellent results in recent “Challenge Cup—extracurricular academic technical works competition of municipal universities’ students.  Among the whole 15 entries, 12 won award, i.e., one outstanding winner, one first prize and ten third prizes. The outstanding winner will be on Beijing’s behalf to attend the 13^th “Challenge Cup” Extracurricular academic technical works competition of national university students. In this match, BISTU took a lead on quantity of award-winning works of all municipal universities, which is the best result in all competitions so far. 

For preparing this match, BISTU launched the 7^th “Imagine cup” extracurricular academic technical works competition of capital university students with the theme  “lightening our Chinese dream with Science and Technology.” Under the guidance of University Council, University Youth League Committee organized and encouraged the young students to devote themselves to technological innovation by careful plan and refinement. At the same time UYLC caught out massive communication campaigns for the match using campus radio, posters, campus network and exchange speeches. The organization committee collected 240 works and selected 15 top three ones through school preliminary assessment, university letter evaluation, playoff debate and final dissertation. Meanwhile, each work was provided a series of thorough, careful training to ensure their high level in scientific, realistic, and exhibitional competence.  

The 15 works that BISTU submitted covered the fields of Economics, Society, Medical treatment, Machinery, Industry, Environmental Protection, Education and Information Technology. Hou Weicheng’s work “Portable Ecg diagnosis technique and Remote medical system” excelled among the outstanding ones and won the special award; Wang Qiuyun’s “dynamic vehicle’s path planning and scheduling system for goods delivery” gained the first prize.  

Ten excellent works were awarded the third prizes, namely “Networking intelligent three-dimensional garage”, “Driving from Beijing to Nanjing with one liter oil—design of fuel-efficient car for accuracy control”, “Studying material flow motel of chemical enterprise production system in Salt Lake—magnesium salt deepening system as an example”, “The thoughts of rural environmental protection in the construction of socialism new countryside—Longgang Village, Longgang Town, Linju county in Shangdong as an example ”, “The innovation of Motor shift gears—pneumatic gear changing system to FASE racer”, “Unpiloted intelligent car on vision-based Navigation”, “Carbon emission data analysis system of industrial enterprise”, “The model acceptability study of micro blog in university”, “Educational equality and inter generational justice—the research of reasons,current situation and employment orientation of the poor student in university”, and “The survey and research of college-graduate village official project—Tailai in QiQihaer as the object”.
