BISTU Organized Off-line Job Fair for 2022 Graduating Students

Beijing, 21st April 2022 (BISTU)--- Collaborating with Beijing Municipal Educational Commission, BISTU has successfully organized an off-line job fair for graduating students in 2022 at Service Center for University Graduating Students’ Employment of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. The BISTU delegation headed by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CPC BISTU Committed met with Director Kuang Xiaozhen of Service Center for University Graduating Students Employment of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and Deputy Director Su Xiuli of the Center. The fair hosted by Director Wang Lei of Admissions and Career Consultation Office of BISTU was also attended by Director Zhu Kuang of Marketing Department of the Center as well as BISTU faculties and staff including secretaries and deans of BISTU schools and supervisors of the schools responsible for employment of graduating students.  

 

 

Kuang Xiaozhen extended warm welcome to BISTU senior administrators, faculties and staff and representatives of companies. He expected that the period before graduating students leaving universities for a new beginning should serve as a window period for companies and institutions to facilitate employment issues of students. Features of academic programs and talent cultivation were respectively explained by secretaries and deans of BISTU schools. Further discussions were held on deepening school-enterprise collaboration, expanding channels for students in job hunting, and providing more opportunities for graduating students in 2022, etc.  

With equal effort invested in pandemic containment, the University took initiative in learning more about the demands of enterprises and has invited 43 companies and enterprises to the Fair, including China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resource Service Co., Ltd. (FESCO), Beijing Subway Information Development Co., Ltd., AVIC Mobile Technology Co., Ltd., etc. More than 5,000 jobs were offered on the Fair, covering almost all academic disciplines of the University. Questionnaires on employers were handed out to all companies attending the fair to keep track of the recent changes in employment of graduating students. Resumes of students who were unable to attend the offline job fair were also offered to employers by secretaries, deans, deputies, and supervisors of BISTU schools.  

 

 

 

CPC BISTU Committee has attached great importance to employment of graduating students and initiated a project of exploring more job opportunities for graduating students. A series of measures have been taken, including organizing job fairs, to strengthen communication with employers so as to provide more opportunities for students. It has been planed that two more fairs cooperated with Service Center for University Graduating Students Employment of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education would be held respectively on 29th April and 18th May in Beijing, which would provide more quality opportunities of employment for BISTU graduating students.
