Beijing, 21st May 2026 (BISTU)--- President Guo Fu met with Vice President Zhou Zhihua of Nanjing University (Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences) on 20th May 2026. Both institutions discussed matters concerning deepening inter-university collaboration and strengthening academic discipline building. Vice President Wang Xingfen joined the meeting.

Guo Fu extended warm greetings to Academician Zhou Zhihua. He pointed out that BISTU is deepening the reform of “information plus” and “AI plus” models of talent cultivation. About 80% of academic programs at BISTU are information technology relative, making BISTU the only university with the most complete set of information technology-related programs among peer institutions administered by Beijing Municipality. It was hoped that both institutions would conduct cooperation in the field of academic discipline building, talent cultivation, faculty exchange, etc. Guo Fu added.

Zhou Zhihua expressed thanks to the warm reception and shared experiences of Nanjing University in respect of academic discipline building, postgraduate education, and building of National College for Excellent Engineers. Following constructive suggestions on development of computer science and control technology, he commented that the two institutions could strengthen cooperation in a number of areas and he looked forward to new prospects of mutual development.

Zhou Zhihua spoke highly of rapid development, strong atmosphere of innovation, and profound university culture of BISTU.

Directors and deans of the President’s Office, the Graduate School, College of Automation, and College of Computer Science joined the event.
