Beijing, 18th January 2026 (BISTU)--- Hosted by China Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and co-organized by BISTU and CAAI Committee of Autonomous Intelligent Systems, the 2nd CAAI Autonomous Intelligent Systems Conference was successfully held from 15th to 16th January 2026 at Shahe Campus. It was joined by over 300 attendees, inclusive of a Member of Academia Europaea, IEEE fellows, state-level leading talents, state-level young talents, renowned scholars, experts in industries, young faculty members, and postgraduate students.

President Guo Fu addressed the Opening Ceremony. President Sun Changyin of Anhui University and Vice President He Wei were Chairman of the Conference.

Guo Fu pointed out that AIS is a field of fierce competition in global technological development. BISTU will bring its academic strengths into full play for a bright future of AIS in China.

Prof. Sun Changyin pointed out that CAAI Committee of Autonomous Intelligent Systems is committed to building a platform of exchange and communication for researcher home and abroad to promote development and application of AIS.

The Opening Ceremony was hosted by Prof. He Wei.

Keynote speeches on fixed-time and prescribed-time in multi-agent systems, coordinated control of complex systems, human-machine interaction of medical robots, and development of control theories were respectively delivered by Prof. Qinglong Han, Pro Vice Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology and a Member of the Academia Europaea, Vice President Lv Jinhu of Beihang University, Research Fellow Hou Zengguang of Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Wang Long of Peking University.

The afternoon session saw reports on autonomous control of maritime drones, multi-model intellisense technologies, intelligent modeling in E-waste recycle, information security technology for connected and automated vehicles, general-purpose embodied AI systems, and collective embodied AI systems delivered by Prof. Duan Haibin of Beihang University, Prof. Zhang Hui of Hunan University, Prof. Han Honggui of Beijing University of Technology, Prof. Liu Zhe of Zhejiang University, Prof. Lu Jiwen of Tsinghua University, Prof. Wen Huanghui of Southeast University, Prof. Yu Wenwu of Southeast University, and Prof. Sun Jian of Beijing Institute of Technology.

The Conference was co-organized by MOE Key Laboratory of Modern Measure and Control Technology, Beijing Key Laboratory of High Dynamic Autonomous Navigation and Control, IEEE SMC Beijing Capital Region Chapter, and IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Autonomous Bionic Robotic Aircraft. Prof. Chen Sun of the University of Hong Kong and Associate Prof. Huang Haifeng of the University of Science and Technology Beijing chaired the invited talks.

Prof. He Wei was elected Director of CAAI Committee of Autonomous Intelligent Systems. The deputy directors included Prof. Wang Yalin of Central South University, Prof. Song Shiji of Tsinghua University, Prof. Liu Yungang of Shandong University, Prof. Ge Quanbo of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Prof. Wu Yuanqing of Sun Yat-Sen University, and Prof. Yu Yao of University of Science and Technology Beijing. Prof. Wang Xiao of Anhui University was elected Secretary-General of the Committee.

Experts of the Conference agreed that in-depth interdisciplinary integration and industry-learning-research coordination were necessary for future development of AIS. Future efforts would be invested in innovation of AIS technologies.
