Beijing, 16th June 2026 (BISTU)--- “Blazing Light”, a BISTU robot football team, stood out among over 30 peer teams in the finals of RoBoLeague 2026 held in Wuhan Optical Valley Digital Economy Industrial Park and was listed as one of the top 3 winners. It was also the team who have scored the most in the Competition.

The event was sponsored by Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and attended by teams from Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Dalian University of Technology, etc. The event featured an all-autonomous AI battle mode. No human remote control was allowed. Each robot must independently handle perception, planning, tactics, and teamwork during matches. This challenged the teams’ algorithm design, hardware integration, system debugging, and real-time strategic responses.

“Blazing Light” successively beat teams of Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hubei Engineering University, and Dalian University of Technology and finally gained a top 3 place.

Achievements are backed up by long-lasting training and patience. Team members of Blazing Light have been working diligently on key aspects such as robot vision recognition, multi-robot coordination algorithms, motion control strategies, and hardware stability.

The outstanding achievements represented cross-disciplinary education and science innovation practices at the University and provided valuable references for later team building and high-level competitions.

Blazing Light was composed of faculty and students of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and College of Instrument Science and Opto-electronics Engineering. It was supervised by Dai Liping and Qin Yufei of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Yan Bixi of College of Instrument Science and Opto-electronics Engineering. Team members included Pei Ruilin and Zhao Haoran of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Guo Mengjie, Wei Fangde, Wang Renshuang, and Yang Zhou of College of Instrument Science and Opto-electronics Engineering
