Beijing, 27th December 2025 (BISTU)--- BISTU held new year celebration for 2026 at Shahe Campus. The ceremony was attended by Chairperson Xie Jiangling of the University Council, President Guo Fu, all other senior administrators, faculty, and students of the University.

Xie Jiangling extended warmest greetings and best wishes for the New Year to all faculty and students. The past year saw efforts and achievements of all BISTUers. Looking into 2026, he called upon everyone to pursue dreams, march forward together, and continue to carry forward the pioneering and enterprising spirit for building an even better BISTU.

The celebration started with The Year 2025 as BISTU Rabbit Saw It, a video clip from the perspective of students to look back on achievements and moments of warmth in the past year.

Art performances were kindled by Flame, a dance contributed by BISTU Ballroom Dance Association.

Themed on “Harmony and Joy on Campus”, the celebration offered a cultural, artistic feast for all students and faculty in three chapters, i.e., Pursuing dreams, Wonderful Campus, and Youth of hope.

Pursuing Dreams saw dynamic and stylish dance performed by teachers of Physical Education Department, Days of Our Lives in Library – a sitcom by teachers of the University Library, singing performances, and poem recitation. These performances brought faculty and students back to the good old days of studying in the library and shared the stories of their perseverance in learning and research.

Wonderful Campus witnessed a song “A Little Red Flower” contributed by students and faculty of Business School, a dance “A City of Star Lights” by College of Automation (College of Artificial Intelligence), “Shining Youth” by College of Instrument Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, and “Try Everything” by College of International Education and other students.
Audiences also enjoyed the passionate street dance performed by College of Information and Communication Engineering.

The chapter Youth of Hope greeted chorus performed by faculty and students of the University. These performances paid tribute to hardworking students, expressed firm faith for the future, and showed the uplifting spirit of all BISTUers in the new era.

The celebration peaked with a chorus joined by all senior administrators of the University, all performers and audiences. All BISTUers were encouraged to stand shoulder to shoulder for a brighter future.

The celebration is more a demonstration of the united, uplifting spirit of the University than a feast of artistic performance. As we usher in 2026, the general goal of “building a better image, strengthening the cohesion, providing better service, and boosting development” has been anchored. We will continue to build a campus of warmth, vitality, and calmness. And we will write another new chapter in the course of building a high-level university with distinctive feature in information technology.
