Beijing, 10th September 2026 (BISTU)--- Chairman Xie Jiangling of the University Council and President Guo Fu attended the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) on 10th September 2026. They visited booths of universities and attended a series of activities. Vice President He Wei and Director Du Shizhi of Publicity Department joined the visit.

BISTU booth at CIFTIS greeted Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, Yu Yingjie, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Li Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Director of Beijing Municipal Education Commission. They held talks with students on BISTU’s globalized education, Sino-foreign joint education, and cultivation of students’ innovative leadership, global competence, and professional skills. Xie Jiangling, Guo Fu and He Wei joined the talks.

Xie Jiangling and Guo Fu attended the 2026 Opening Ceremony of CIFTIS Education Services themed on “education empowers the nation, intelligence creates the future”.

Xie Jiangling and Rajab Jafarli, Special Envoy of the President of Nakhchivan StateUniversity of Azerbaijan signed the framework of cooperation on behalf of their respective universities. According to the agreement, both universities would jointly run the 2+2 BISTU-based program in information security.

Guo Fu attended the Cross-border Education Cooperation Forum. Upon invitation, Guo Fu delivered a keynote speech titled “Building Bridges, ShapingtheFuture: BISTU’s Journey toward Global Excellence inEducation andInnovation”. He shared the principles and practices of BISTU in global development and Sino-foreign joint education. It was expected that BISTU would work together with global institutions to build a shared communication of education featuring diversity and inclusion so that we together would make greater contribution to world higher education. Guo Fu said.

Guo Fu was interview by Beijing Radio and Television Station. He explained educational philosophies and principles, achievements in global education, and development prospect of the University.

With support and guidance of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, BISTU established a characteristic booth on the CIFTIS. The booth attracted a number of visitors home and abroad with its highlights in Sino-foreign joint education, studying in Beijing, diversified cultivation of talents, international exchange and communication activities.

BISTU is committed to contributing to the objective of empowering the nation with education. The principle of “bringing in and going global” would be upheld in educational opening up. And the University would continue to make BISTU-marked contributions to talent cultivation and education services in Beijing.
