Beijing, 24th July 2026 (BISTU)--- Chairperson Xie Jiangling of the University Council and Vice President Wang Xingfen met with Shenzhen Technology University delegation headed by President Fu Jiyang on 24th July 2026.

Xie Jiangling extended warm welcome to Shenzhen Technology University delegation and offered a brief introduction to BISTU in respect of historical development, academic disciplines, and academic research. He point out that BISTU is a university with a complete set of information technology-related academic disciplines and has cultivated strengths in five major areas, i.e., intellisense, intelligent control, intelligent equipment, intelligent computing, and intelligent decision-making. He added that recent years have also witnessed rapid development of Shenzhen Technology University. The two universities were in high alignment with each other in academic disciplines and programs and talent cultivation models. Based on previous friendly exchange and communication, he hoped that both institutions would bring the cooperation forward to a new level.

Fu Jiyang expressed thanks to the warm reception and offered an introduction to history, academic disciplines, industry-education fusion, and talent cultivation of Shenzhen Technology University. The distinctive characteristics of BISTU in information technology and the strengths in areas such as intellisense and intelligent decision-making indicated great potential in future cooperation between the two universities. It was hoped that both institutions would strengthen communication and conduct in-depth cooperation in joint cultivation of postgraduate students and commercialization of research findings. He said.

Fu Jiyang and delegation members visited the University Archives, the University Library, and the exhibition of research achievements of BISTU.

The meeting and visit were joined by relevant directors and deans of departments and colleges of both universities.
