
Beijing, 23rd April 2026 (BISTU)--- The launch ceremony of Beijing Key Laboratory of High-end Equipment Intelligent Operation, Maintenance and Control & the Symposium of BISTU Mechanical Engineering Development successfully completed on 22nd April 2026 at Shahe Campus.

The Ceremony hosted by Vice President Wang Xingfen was attended by Academician Lu Bingheng of Chinese Academy of Science, President Guo Fu, Chairman Wang Zhenlin of Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., Dean Chen Huawei of School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Beihang University, Director Guo Lugang of Research Department of Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, Deputy Diector Li Qiuwei of Research Center of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Prof. Chu Fulei of Tsinghua University, Prof. Lin Tianran of Queensland University of Technology, Chief Engineer of Central Research Institute of Hollysys Group, etc.

Guo Fu pointed out that establishment of Beijing Key Laboratory of High-end Equipment Intelligent Operation, Maintenance and Control is a milestone symbolizing rapid progress of integration of science and education and fusion of industry and education. The University would spare no efforts to supporting development of the Laboratory and to making BISTU-marked contrition to national and municipal social and economic development.

Lu Bingheng fully affirmed the research orientation of the Laboratory in “intelligent operation and maintenance plus intelligent control” and highly recognized the research pattern and prospect of the Laboratory in high-end equipment intellisense, fault diagnosis, intelligent control, etc. The Laboratory could expand its research spectrum to other fields such as large aircraft and high-end shops. He added.

Wang Zhenlin pointed out that technological innovation eventually would serve industrial purpose. Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. would share its research platforms and data resources to promote systematic integration of sense, diagnosis, and control.

Li Qiuwei held that the Laboratory should further strengthen in-depth industry-learning-research integration to make greater contribution to building Beijing as an international center for scientific and technological innovation.

Dean Su Peng of BISTU College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering offered an introduction to the University and the planning of the Laboratory, followed by valuable suggestions on future development of the Laboratory produced by professors of the College, i.e., Han Qiushi, Huang Min, Wang Hongjun, Wang Liyong, etc.
A seminar then was held on discussion of deepening coordinated innovation, expansion of current cooperation, and promotion of commercialization of research findings.

Lu Bingheng and Guo Fu jointly unveiled the Laboratory.

Guo Fu presented letters of appointment to experts of Academic Commission of the Laboratory.

The ceremony and seminar were also attended by directors of Department of Research and the Graduate School as well as faculty of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
