Beijing, 12th December 2025 (BISTU)--- The founding ceremony of “Integrated AI General Education Research Alliance for Universities, Middle Schools, and Primary Schools”, a parallel forum of the 9th Beijing Education Forum themed on “Integrated AI General Education for Universities, Middle Schools, and Primary Schools”, was held at BISTU on 11th December 2025. President Guo Fu addressed the Ceremony.

Guo Fu pointed out that AI general education is the cornerstone for future talent cultivation and a strategic choice to respond to sci-tech and educational revolution. Based on academic strengths in information technology, BISTU has been promoting in-depth integration between academic disciplines and frontier technologies. “AI plus intellisense” modules have been developed, virtual teaching and research office has been established, and a Q&A robot for AI teaching has been built. Establishment of the Alliance would break barriers existing among different levels of education and bring AI education in Beijing into a new stage of coordinated development. Guo Fu said.

The ceremony was also addressed by Director Nie Rong of Division Two of Basic Education of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Vice President Yang Deangcai of Beijing Academy of Education Sciences, and Vice President Xiao Wen of Beijing Institute of Education.



Yang Dengcai announced that “Integrated AI General Education Research Alliance for Universities, Middle Schools, and Primary Schools” was formally founded. The first cohort members included 44 institutions. Certificates of membership were presented to members by Yang Dengcai, Xiao Wen, and Vice President He Wei of BISTU.

Director Wu Yaxing of Division of Educational Informationization of Beijing Municipal Education Commission hosted the event.

AI general education in colleges, cross-level coordinated education, and the role of information technology in general education were explored in keynote speeches respectively delivered by Prof. Liu Qiang of Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Prof. Yan Jianzhuo of Beijing University of Technology, Prof. Chen Wenbai of BISTU. Frontline teachers of middle schools and primary schools shared their experiences of AI course design and teaching.
Teaching demonstrations were conducted by four teachers from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, BISTU, Beijing No. 12 Middle School, and Beijing Dongcheng District Dengshikou Primary School.

The event successfully built a platform of coordination for cross-level education with equal focus on theory and practice. Establishment of the Alliance is an active response to challenges occurring in talent cultivation in an intelligent era. Future days would see more coordinated efforts in seamless connections among various educational levels, resource sharing, and overall enhance of AI literacy of students.
