Beijing, 17th April 2026 (BISTU)--- BISTU Shahe Campus greeted distinguished guests attending the 3rd Education Leader Forum on Pioneering Talents of Digitelligence themed “Boundary expansion, fusion, reshape” held on 17th April 2026. The Forum gathered educators from 78 members of the League of Pioneering Talents of Digitelligence, inclusive of Beijing Jingshan School, Beijing Guangqumen Middle School, the High School Attached to Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing No. 20 Middle School, Beijing Chenjinglun High School, Beijing Changping No.2 High School, Beijing Luhe High School, Beijing Niulanshan First Secondary School, Beijing Yanqing District No.1 High School, experts from 16 enterprises including China National Nuclear Corporation, Siemens China, CASIC Second Academy, Qi An Xin Technology Group Inc., and educational supervising institutions such as Education Examinations Authority of Dongcheng District and Chaoyang District. The Forum aims to build a talent cultivation platform for digitelligence talents with industry-education fusion and the integration of education, sci-tech, and talent.

The main venue, hosted by Vice President Li Huatao, was joined by President Guo Fu, Vice President Wang Xingfen, Deputy Secretary Liu Jia of the Education Working Committee of Changping District, Director Wang Yong of Education Department of Zhangjiakou, General Principal Li Zhiwei of Beijing Jingshan School, Dean Mei Ciqi of Xinya College of Tsinghua University, and Vice President Zhang Wenwei of Higher Education Legion of Huawei. Discussions were centered on “AI empowering educational innovation and high-quality development”, “New ecological development of education in intelligent times”, “Industry-education fusion at Astra Residential College”, etc.

On behalf of the University, Guo Fu extended warm welcome to all guests. He pointed out that education is now being reshaped in a comprehensive manner as humans gradually enter an AI era. Aiming to reconstruct the current talent cultivation system in the principle of nurturing talents with “the qualities, competences, and abilities to produce solutions to complicated problems”, both universities and secondary schools are expected to shoulder respective responsibilities. He added that BISTU has been promoting reform in education and exploring a system of residential college while establishing industry research institutes in various cities to better match talent cultivation with industrial development. Meanwhile, BISTU has significantly reduced academic credits required for graduation, increased opportunities for practical training and internships, and strengthened employment competitiveness of students. In the philosophy of “human-centered education, AI for good”, the University would continue to deepen educational reform. Guo Fu stressed that the BISTU is happy to work together with friends of all circles to build a whole-chain system of talent cultivation for high-quality pioneering talents in AI era.

Themed on “Make AI see humans: substitution to symbiosis”, Li Zhiwei shared practices of Beijing Jingshan School in the past three years. AI at the School has been substantially transformed from a mere tool of assistance to “in-depth fusion” with teaching and education. She pointed out that secondary school students stood out in technological competitions and their achievements have been recognized by industries. Traditional, standardized teaching model needs reform. Future education shall focus on motivating intrinsic drive of students. The role of teachers, originally a knowledge transmitter, shall be shifted into a creator of contexts. She added that future classrooms should be a smart room of learning. She called for all schools and enterprises to work together to foster innovative talents who are capable of raising original questions and addressing complicated challenges.

Themed on “Exploring talent cultivation in AI era”, Zhang Wenwei shared Huawei’s thinking and practice in supporting talent cultivation with AI. He expressed that Huawei is committed to building AI workshops for in-depth fusion between industry and education. Industrial knowledge would be systematically integrated into classrooms in a standardized manner. Quality teaching resources would be replicable and personal experience would no longer be indispensible. He expected to work together with universities so as to nurture high-quality talents who are capable of producing viable solutions to real problems.

Themed on “Dying toward being: two classrooms in AI era”, Mei Ciqi analyzed practical predicament and future orientation of college education. He pointed out that effectiveness of traditional classrooms and online education is both limited. The core value of AI lies in its strong interactivity. He stressed that education would be brought into a new phase when an irreplaceable sense of “presence” and indispensible experiences were provided. He proposed two types of classrooms: a super star classroom with leading faculty to provide inspiring and thrilling learning experience; a super-small classroom to bring students into real life and motivate their initiative and creativity. Mei Ciqi expected that future education would help build a new ecology of “human-agent collaboration” where human subjectivity and creativity would be brought into full play.

Sub-forums were respectively held following the opening ceremony. In-depth discussions were conducted on AI empowering educational innovation, industrial demand of talents in AI era, AI empowering enhancement of faculty’s core qualities, reflections on AI application in teaching, whole-chain cultivation of talents, etc.
