Beijing, 29th April 2026 (BISTU)--- BISTU held a seminar summarizing the 2026 Spring Break on 29th April 2026. President Guo Fu attended the seminar.
The Seminar started with a video clip of learning experiences of students during the spring break.

Guo Fu pointed out that the spring break is an important practice of the University in deepening educational reform and exploring featured talent cultivation model. Initiated in 2025, Spring break is expected to offer self-regulated time for students when they could walk out of the campus and experience real life in a greater classroom. With increasingly diversified topics and activities, the spring break has become a brand project of the University.
Guo Fu shared three insights with students. One, we shall be summarizing experiences all the time and never be a rush visitor of the spring break. The heartfelt moments of the learning trip should be deeply rooted in our mind. Two, we shall be diligent in put theories into practice. We shall be able to discover questions and explore the unknown and then try to produce viable solutions. And three, we shall be bold in shouldering responsibilities. Personal growth shall be integrated into the grand picture of national development, no matter what we are to do in the future.
Guo Fu added that the University would continue to deepen educational reform of talent cultivation to offer students with more choices and flexible opportunities. “Whatever you want to do at BISTU, we will be there for you.” Guo Fu said. The spring break should be a valuable memory and a “gas station” on the journey of life. He added.

Vice President Wang Xingfen pointed out that the spring break is one of the extensions of the classroom. It is an effective way to facilitate educational reform, strengthen comprehensive capabilities, and broaden pathways to future possibilities. She said.

Vice President Li Huatao expressed that the spring break serves as an important measure in building a campus of warmth, vitality and calmness and a year-round university. It will be a BISTU-branded educational activity for students. Li said.

Experiences during the spring break were shared by Zhang Haoyu of College of Computer Science, Huo Fei of Business School, Ma Yechun of Astra Residential College, and a Laos student from College of International Education. Wang Chen of Office of Global Affairs, Lin Cuiling of College of Automation, and Wang Ningning of College of Management Science and Engineering discussed their experiences of being a supervisor.

Faculty and students conducted discussions on contents, innovative practices, and future planning of spring break learning.




Guo Fu, Wang Xingfen and Li Huatao presented respectively presented certificates to award winners of the spring break learning.

The seminar concluded with a group photo of all.

The event was also attended by directors of relating BISTU departments and offices, vice deans and vice chairpersons of BISTU colleges, and representatives of faculty and students.
