Beijing, 28th June 2026 (BISTU)--- Unveiling ceremony for Beijing Key Laboratory of Autonomous Navigation and Control for High-Dynamic Flight Vehicles & the Inaugural Meeting of the First Session Academic Committee was held at Shahe Campus on 27th June 2026.

The ceremony and meeting were attended by Academician Wang Yaonan of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President Guo Fu of BISTU, Deputy Director Li Qiuwei of Zhongguancun Management Committee Research Center of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, former Executive Deputy Director Zhang Zhaotian of Department of Information Sciences of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Prof. Duan Haibin of Beihang University, Prof. Deng Zhihong of Beijing Institute of Technology, Vice Dean Liu Hongmin of School of Artificial Intelligence of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Prof. Liu Zhijie of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Prof. Shen Hai of Beijing Institute of Technology, Vice President He Wei of BISTU, and directors and deans of BISTU departments and colleges. The Ceremony was hosted by Executive Deputy Director Fan Junfang of the Laboratory.

Guo Fu addressed the Ceremony and expressed thanks to Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and partner institutions. He pointed out that the Laboratory was an important move in strategic development of the University and an important platform for promoting interdisciplinary integration between control science and engineering and artificial intelligence. It was hoped that the Laboratory would contribute effectively to research of core technologies, empowerment of industrial upgrading, and enhancement of talent cultivation. Guo Fu said.

Li Qiuwei extended congratulations to the Laboratory. He expected the Laboratory to focus on key issues in scientific development, strengthen coordinated research, and promote in-depth industry-learning-research-application integration.

Academician Wang Yaonan and President Guo Fu jointly unveiled the Laboratory. President Guo Fu presented letters of appointment to members of Academic Committee of the Laboratory.

The First Meeting of the First Session Academic Committee was hosted by Academician Wang Yaonan. Prof. He Wei, Director of the Laboratory, delivered a work report on research orientation, team building, research progresses, and future planning of the Laboratory.

BISTU would provide due support in future development of the Laboratory, aiming to achieve substantive progress in core technology research, commercialization of research findings, and cultivation of innovative talents.
