Beijing, 15th June 2025 (BISTU)--- University Open Day of BISTU Zhangjiakou Campus was held at Tianshu Academy on 15th June 2025. This event provided one-stop services regarding admissions and attracted over 2,000 high school graduates and their parents.

President Guo Fu joined the event and held warm talks with students and parents. He offered an introduction to school-running principle, characteristics of talent cultivation, and education features of Tianshu Academy. President Guo Fu also held talks with Mayor Wang Xuedong of Huailai County on university-local government cooperation, resources sharing, and coordinated education.

Tianshu Academy is as an important move of the University in taking initiative in serving Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and integrating into the big picture of national and regional development. It is aimed at providing targeted support with industrial upgrading of Zhangjiakou and Huailai and enhancing educational quality and influence of BISTU.

Program leaders of the 8 programs offered at Tianshu Academy explained academic strengths, talent cultivation, and career planning of these programs. Detailed explanation on the residential college system, innovative talent cultivation system, coordinated educational characteristics were provided by Dean Hou Xia of Tianshu Academy, Deputy General Manager Yang Wenxing of Zhangjiakou Branch of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd., Operation Director Liu Xiaoyi of China Unicom (Huailai) Big Data Innovation Industrial Co., Ltd., Director Ye Xiaoning of New Energy Research Institute of State Grid Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Director Wang Lei of BISTU Department of Admissions and Career Services.

Customized bus service connecting Huailai High-speed Railway Station and Tianshu Academy was arranged for high school graduates and their parents, in addition to Huailai-themed light dinning experience including local beverages and agricultural products.

A number of university facilities were open to students and their parents who were shown multi-dimensionally the strengths and characteristics of the University in academic programs, talent cultivation, personal growth, and social services. Such tailored admissions service brought an immersive experience of “the campus of warmth, calmness, and vitality” to students and their parents.
