BISTU Holds Meeting on Party Building

Beijing, 11th January, 2019, (BISTU)— BISTU successfully holds a meeting on party building on Xiaoying Campus on the morning of 11th January 2019, aiming at learning the spirit of municipal conference on party building and implementing the spirit of comprehensively strengthening Party discipline and facilitating the Party's work style and clean government building. Chen Qinghua, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection of BISTU, conveys the spirit of municipal conferences and Secretary General Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee delivers a keynote speech. The Meeting is attended by all senior administrators, all directors of various divisions, all deans of various schools, inspectors of the Party's work style and clean government building, and representatives of faculties and staff and is hosted by President Wang Yongsheng.     

 

In his speech, Wang Chuanliang stresses that all faculties and staff shall be fully award of the pressure and complexity in comprehensively strengthening Party discipline. CPC BISTU Committee seriously implements policies and decision of Central Government and Beijing Municipality, facilitates comprehensively strengthening Party discipline, sustainably improves political ecology, and invest huge efforts in building a campus environment with righteous culture and integrity. However, there is still a long way for us to go in respect of comprehensively strengthening Party discipline.     

 

Wang Chuanliang informs participants of the meeting of two cases of disciplinary action and other relating cases as well as problems discovered in specialized inspections conducted by the University in 2018. Wang Chuanliang stresses that CPC BISTU Committee takes the cause of comprehensively strengthening Party discipline very seriously and shows no avoidance, no cover-up, zero tolerance towards any violations of law or regulations. Inspection and supervision will only become even stricter. All faculties and staff shall never let down their guards. Nor shall we take any chances here. The cases of regulation and law violation serve as very typical ones for all senior administrators and all directors to keep themselves alert at any minute.  

Centering on the mission of “comprehensively strengthening Party discipline”, Wang Chuanliang points out that the whole University shall focus on issues in six aspects: firstly, enhancing political awareness to fulfill our political responsibilities; secondly, strengthening strict discipline to build a political environment of righteous culture and integrity; thirdly, further strengthening supervision and inspection--- there is not interval break in issues regarding party building; fourthly, establishing correct political orientation and strengthening team building for directors and deans; fifthly, reinforcing the system of accountability--- no violation of laws and regulations will be allowed or tolerated; and sixthly, summing up experiences from pilot programs and comprehensively strengthening in-University inspection and supervision.  

When hosting the meeting, Wang Yongsheng emphasizes that all divisions and schools must seriously learn the spirit of municipal conference on party building and take immediate actions when finding any improper issues in the process of self-inspection and self-supervision. A meeting for criticism and self-criticism shall be organized--- but not merely in formality. The spirit of municipal conference and requirements of CPC BISTU Committee shall be truly, actually implemented by all sectors.

The Meeting shows a documentary “Red Line is not There to Touch”, highlighting political attribute of warning for officials of various levels in educational institutions. It tells that there is not escape, zero tolerance for violation of laws and regulations. It gives stark reminders to all officials and party members.
