Beijing, 4th January, 2019, (BISTU)—BISTU President Wang Yongsheng Meets with the delegation headed by Yin Kai, Director General of China Center for International Educational Exchange (CCIEE). Both parties talks about issues relating BISTU participation in China-America Education Plan and “121” dual degrees programs. The meeting is also attended by Vice President Xu Baojie and Vice President Chen Gang.
Wang Yongsheng extends warm welcome to CCIEE delegation and offers a detailed introduction to the University in respect of history and development, educational orientation, and features of education. Wang Yongsheng stresses that educational globalization is extremely important for development of the University. We have attached high importance to international exchange and cooperation, which is highlighted in BISTU the 13th Five-year Plan. We have made substantial achievements in building international platforms for academic research and introduction of foreign experts. It is hoped that the mutually beneficial cooperation between BISTU and CCIEE would further facilitate development of educational globalization at BISTU. Then strengths of BISTU in high school graduates enrollment and competition would be brought into full play and qualitative leap would be achieved in educational globalization at BISTU.
With his introduction to CCIEE, China-America Education Plan and “121” dual degrees programs, Yin Kai points out that the Plan now serves as the largest platform for talent communication between China and America. CCIEE hopes that 121 dual degrees programs will help facilitate cooperation between BISTU and state universities of America and promote educational globalization at BISTU.
Vice President Xu Baojie introduces information on undergraduate teaching and produces suggestions for future collaboration between two parties. Vice President Chen Gang says that the University will make reasonable, feasible plans to push forward cooperation between both parties.
CCIEE delegation members include Wang Ying, Director of China-America Education Plan and “121” dual degrees programs and Deputy Director Liu Faqun of the Programs. Meeting and discussion are also attended by Mi Jie, Director of Academic Affairs Office, Director Wang Lei of Admissions and Employment, and Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department and Dean of School of International Education.
