Beijing Institute of Education Delegation Visits BISTU

Beijing, 15th November, 2018, (BISTU)--- Delegation of Beijing Institute of Education (BIE), led by Deputy Secretary General Lu Hui of CPC BIE Committee and Dong Ping, Member of Standing Commission of CPC BIE Committee and Assistant to Vice President of BIE visits BISTU on 15th November, 2018. President Wang Yongsheng, Deputy Secretary General Wang Xiuyan of CPC BISTU Committee, and Lu Lei, Member of Standing Commission of CPC BISTU committee, hold talks with the BIE delegation. 

On behalf of BISTU, Wang Yongsheng extends warm welcome to Lu Hui and offers an introduction to basic information, development strategy, features in education, and talent cultivation. Wang Yongsheng expresses that recent years have witnessed BISTU’s effort in inheriting and developing advantages of its predecessors to build a university with distinctive feature in information technology. He hopes that both institutions could work together to explore cooperation in the fields where both have strengths including continuing education and staff development. Lu Hui introduces basic information of BIE. And he says that BIE would like to collaborate with BISTU, considering the overall development of the University in respect of top level design, talent cultivation, feature of education, academic research, and team building. It is hoped that in the future BIE and BISTU would work even closer together to establish substantive collaborative projects so as to promote development of both institutions.  

Beijing Institute of Education is a teachers’ training institution in the field of continuing education sponsored by Beijing Municipality and directly supervised by Beijing Municipal Educational Commission. It is a specialized institution for staff development of teachers in elementary education. It is aimed to serve as a life-long platform learning base for teachers and principals in elementary education, continuing education and vocational education in Beijing as well as a bridge between advanced education theories and educational practices.
