Wang Yongsheng and Three Other BISTU Faculties Elected as Members of Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Educational Institutions of Ministry of Education

Beijing, 1st November, 2018, (BISTU)--- Establishment conference for 2018-2022 session of Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Educational Institutions of Ministry of Education (hereafter referred to as TSC) successfully completes in Beijing. The new session of TSC elects 5,550 members, inclusive of 111 chairmen and 710 vice chairmen. There are 3,611 newly elected members, accounting for two thirds of total members. BISTU President Wang Yongsheng, Director Wang Xingfen of Academic Affairs’ Office, Prof. Zhu Lianqing of School of Opto-electromechanical Egineering and Prof. Li Qing of School of Automation are elected as new members of this TSC session.  

 

Wang Yongsheng is elected member of TSC in Specialty Settings and Teaching, Wang Xingfen member of TSC in Management Science and Engineering, Zhu Lianqing member of TSC in instruments, and Li Qing member of TSC in Aeronautics and Astronautics.  

 

The new session of TSC is the largest ever which overs the widest spectrum and the highest level specialties. It contains 5,550 members from all over the country. TSC has 151 commissions, including 111 teaching steering commissions and 40 sub-commissions. It has 124 teachers of national preeminence and 103 academicians as well as 308 Yangtze River scholars.  

TSC is a non-standing expert organization of Ministry of Education. It is entrusted by the Ministry to conduct research, consultancy, guidance, and evaluation and appraisal. Each session serves a term of five years.  

The meeting is addressed by Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education of China and hosted by Lin Huiqing, Deputy Minister of Education.
