Wang Yongsheng Visits Beijing Organizing Committee for 2022 Olympic Winter Games

Beijing, 26th December, 2017 (BISTU)— BISTU delegation led by President Wang Yongsheng, consisting of directors of general administration office, academic affairs’ office, human resources office, office for scientific research, and youth league committee, visits Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The delegation is warmed received by Liu Yang, Director General of International Relations Department, and Director Zhou Ling of Comprehensive Affairs Office of International Relations Department. Both parties discuss on working together for Winter Games and strengthening future cooperation.

On behalf of Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Liu Yang extends warm welcome to BISTU delegation and introduces in detail organizational structure, preparations done, international exchange, venue arrangement, Winter Olympic Games culture, and other issues. Liu Yang says that this Winter Games will show the whole world a China with its strength and competence and play its role in big power diplomacy to shoulder the responsibility of a great power in a new era with Chinese characteristics. He hopes to enhance cooperation with BISTU in respect of volunteering service and information technology.

Wang Yongsheng extends thanks to Organizing Committee for their warm reception. He expresses that successful bidding for Winter Games shows the whole world China’s power and confidence. For current stage and for some time in the future, preparations for Winter Games remain a key task of Beijing. As a university supervised by Beijing Municipality, BISTU shall contribute as it is expected. Based on his introduction to BISTU, Wang Yongsheng says that sound economic and social benefits have been generated in the process of BISTU education and academic research. It is hoped that in the future BISTU could contribute more to information technology, talent nurturing, and volunteering service.

BISTU delegation also visits general planning hall of Winter Games and attend seminar for learning of President Xi Jinping’s key, substantial instructions on preparing for and running Winter Games. Also the Delegation is shown around exhibition of Shougang Corporation history.
