Beijing, 1st November, 2017 (BISTU)— BISTU Vice President Xu Baojie discusses academic cooperation with Unitec Institute of Technology (Unitec) delegation headed by Vice President David Glover for International Affairs and Collaboration.
On behalf of BISTU, Xu Baojie extends warm welcome to Unitec delegtion and offers an introduction to basic inforamtion of the University in respect of education, student innovation and entrepreneurship, and international cooperation. Xu Baojie positively comments the collaborative achievements made by BISTU and Unitec and hopes that the two institutions could further explore cooperation in the field of accounting while expanding cooperation in faculty exchange and collaborative research. Prof. Glover produces a detailed introduction to Unitec and expresses that the two institutions coincidentally emphasize on cultivation of the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Unitec focuses on nurturing talents of applied learning and there are a lot to explore with regard to future cooperation.
Unitec faculties have for many times delivered seminars and lectures on accounting at BISTU and credit transfer agreement between the two institutions has been signed together with course mapping agreement. The delegation visits BISTU to strengthen links, implement details involved in master level cooperative program on accounting, and explore possibility of collaboration in other areas. International Director David Nummy also talks about some modules which could be delivered at BISTU.
Both institutions exchange ideas on level, faculties, textbooks, and modules in relation to master level cooperative program on accounting and reach consensus that the program is to commence on Autumn semester of 2018 academic year.
After the meeting, Unitec delegation delivers a presentation to undergraduate and postgraduate students of School of Economics and Management of BISTU, aiming at explaining in detail the information and current progress of students exchange between the two universities.
The meeting is attended by Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department, Dean Zhang Jian of School of Economics and Management and Vice Dean Jin Chunhua of the Schoo, and Jia Xiangping, Head of Accounting Department of the School.
