Beijing, 26th September, 2017 (BISTU)— In the wake of 2017 National Internet Security Campaign Week, Internet and Information Security Contest for Postgraduates in Beijing Tianjin and Hebei Universities successfully completes at North China University of Science and Technology. STiP, a BISTU team composed of Fei Yu, Zhang Feng, and Shi Boxuan from School of Information Management and supervised by Jiang Wenbao and Li Chunqiang, is honored with First Prize.
The Contest is sponsored by Hebei Provincial Department of Education, Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Tianjin Municipal Education Commission and is organized by North China University of Science and Technology. Altogether 34 teams from 25 universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei attend the Contest, including Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, BeiJing Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing University of Technology, Tianjin University, Nankai University, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Hebei University, Hebei University of Science and Technology， ShijiaZhuang Tiedao University. The Contest is divided into two parts--- challenge and dual match. The challenge part in early half of the day is on theories and CTF and the dual match part in the afternoon is non-grouped competition. STiP wins both challenge and dual match parts of the Contest and tops all other teams in total achievements.
BISTU is also honored with the award of Organizers of Excellence for the Contest. Great importance has been attached to the Contest by Postgraduate School and School of Information Management.
