Beijing, 6th September 2017 (BISTU)--- Wang Chuanliang, Chairman of University Council, together with Vice President Chen Gang, holds discussion with Vice President Tian-Shyug Lee of Fu Jen Catholic University on collaboration between the two institutions.
On behalf of BISTU Wang Chuanliang extends warmest welcome to Dr. Dr. Michael Tian-Shyug Lee and his colleagues. He offers a brief introduction to construction of five environments, solutions to barriers of development, cultivation of information feature with BISTU, and achievements in serving Beijing’s role of “four centers”. Particularly he introduces progress with new campus construction. Wang Chuanliang points out that BISTU is relatively a young university compare to Fu Jen Catholic University. And in terms of educational globalization, it is urgent for BISTU to learn from successful experiences and practices of FJU. With regard to prospect of cooperation between the two institutions, Wang Chuanliang expresses that improvement of BISTU spatial environment have offered much better conditions and he expects that mutual complementary cooperation could be conducted to foster development of both institutions.
Following his introduction to latest progress of Fu Jen Catholic University, Tian-Shyug Lee shares FJU’s experiences in infrastructure construction, personnel management, human resources, financial management, and educational globalization and says that these are corresponding to BISTU construction of five environments. He hopes that cooperation on a wider scope would be explored when BISTU moves to the new campus.
After the meeting, Chen Gang hosts the seminar for AACSB accreditation. Dean Zhang Jian of School of Economics and Management introduces preparations and thinking of accreditation. Constructive suggestion is produced by Tian-Shygu Lee who is an expert member of AACSB accreditation committee, mentor of AACSB, guest lecturer of AACSB greater China region, and the first Asian expert committee member of AACSB.The meeting and seminar is also attended by Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department, and Chairman of School of Economics and Management Qu Li and Vice Dean Jin Chunhua.
