Cyber Security and Information Technology Commission of CPC BISTU Committee Completes the First Meeting

Beijing, 15th March 2019, (BISTU)— The first session meeting for Cyber Security and Information Technology Commission of CPC BISTU Committee successfully completed on Xiaoying Campus 15th March fully explores issues of cyber security and information technology at the University. The meeting is attended by Secretary General Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee, President Wang Yongsheng, Deputy Secretary General Liu Xiaoyi of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Liu Yong, and directors of relating divisions and is hosted by Assistant to VP Lin Guoce.

Wang Chuanliang points out that cyber security and information technology involves all key issues of all key areas of the University. It deserves enough attention. He stresses that firstly we shall perfect top level design and coordinate with each other. It is necessary to strengthen system construction and bring strengths of BISTU scholars and experts into full play. Secondly, we shall try our very best to avert and control as much risk as possible. Emergence response plan shall be established and practiced regularly and all relating divisions shall work in coordination. And thirdly, we shall strengthen building full-time and part-time teams with emphasis on political construction. The team building shall be in line with political projects of the University. It is hoped that all divisions and schools will enhance political awareness, look at the big picture of national development, become more professional, and work harmoniously with peers. Wang Yongsheng positively comment that the University has made substantial progress in cyber security and information technology. He stresses that faculties and staff shall fully understand development trend of our country, keep up pace with times, relate to actual situation of bus, and continue to perfect construction of cyber security and information technology. He points out that newly-published Cyber Security Law of People’s Republic of China and establishment of Cyber Security and Information Technology Commission of CPC BISTU Committee have offered great opportunities for us to build a team with strong competence in both management and information technology. It is hoped that all divisions and schools work together to facilitate integration of information technology and all issues of the University. It will serve as important fulcrum in promoting comprehensive reform, speeding up “construction of five environments”, and achieving super normal, big-stride development.  

Liu Xiaoyi, Liu Yong and directors of relating divisions conduct discussions on drafts of several documents and regulations, including Opinions on Strengthening Cyber Security and Information Technology, Regulation on Management of Cyber Security, Management Regulations on Campus Network, etc. Report on key issues of BISTU in cyber security and information technology is delivered by Director Gong Hanming of Information and Network Management Center.
