Beijing, 27th February 2019, (BISTU)—Prof. Ge Xinguan is recently recognized as one of the “100 Most Famous B-School Figures in China” by B-School Times, a famous magazine in Canada. The nomination and announcement is based on these figures’ outstanding contribution to business and relevant areas in the past 40 years of China’s reform and opening up. Experts and scholars from more than 300 business schools in China are selected based on a total of thirteen criteria covering academics, teaching, and social influence.
Prof. Ge Xinquan is a professor of BISTU School of Economics and Management, Director and Chief Expert of Beijing Municipal Base for Knowledge Management Research, and Director of Beijing Municipal Key Lab (Think-Tank) of Big-data Decision for Green Development. Recently Prof. Ge Xinquan publishes “Strategic Implications of Quality Development of Enterprises”, an essay soon being reprinted by nationally popular media such as Toutiao (the largest information recommendation engine of China) and Netease (one of the earliest and biggest news portals of China). It attracts great attention of all circles. The essay analyzes relevant concepts, measurement, and internal logic of quality development, based on which it raises the concept of “high quality premium” and holds that quality development is a dynamic system covering coordinated development of macro-economy, regions, industries, enterprises, and products (service). It also argues that the cornerstone and key breaking point for quality development is high quality development of enterprises.
