Self-assessment of Master of Control Science and Engineering Successfully Completes

Beijing, 15th September 2018 (BISTU)— Meeting on self-assessment of Master of Control Science and Engineering successfully completes at Library of Jianxiangqiao Campus of the University on 15th September, 2018.  

 

The expert committee is chaired by Zhou Donghua, member of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council and Vice President of Shandong University of Science and Technology. Members of the expert committee include Prof. Jiao Zongxia, member of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council and Dean of School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering of Beihang University, Tan Min, member of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council and research fellow of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Sun Zengqi of Tsinghua University, Prof. Xia Yuanqing, Dean of School of Automation of Beijing Institute of Technology, Prof. Zhang Zhaohui, Dean of School of Automation of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Prof. Hu Yanzhu from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Prof. Liang Guangsheng from North China Electric Power University, Research Fellow Tang Liang from the No. 502 Research Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and Liu Xuedong from Advantech. The meeting is also attended by President Wang Yongsheng, Vice President Liu Yong, and faculties of School of Automation and is hosted by Wang Jiuhe, Executive Vice Dean of Postgraduate School.  

 

In his welcome speech Wang Yongsheng extends sincere thanks to all experts for their care and guidance with academic disciplinary construction at BISTU. Following his brief introduction to history, feature and prospect of BISTU, he says that the University attaches great importance to construction and development of Control Science and Engineering and it is hoped that invaluable suggestions of experts would help improve and develop this academic discipline.  

  

 

Vice Dean Zhang Jizhi of School of Automation & Academic Leader of Control Science and Engineering and Gao Jingmin (Academic Leader of Master of Control Science and Engineering) respectively talks about academic disciplinary construction and assessment. Expert committee members agree that the degree program is accurate in orientation, unequivocal in objective, reasonable in academic pathways, sufficient in support for academic research, good in faculty quality, and high in education quality.  

Dean Su Zhong of School of Automation extends thanks to experts for their guidance and asks for suggestions from experts on applying for approval of doctoral programs. Experts produce some advice on talent introduction and cultivation, academic disciplinary features, team building of academic faculties, etc. They hope that more efforts are invested in serving strategic development of Beijing and of the nation, frontiers, educational globalization, international exchange and cooperation, and high-grade, precision and advanced industries.
