BISTU Receives Survey Group of National Postdoctoral Management Committee

Beijing, 6th September 2018 (BISTU)— BISTU welcomes distinguished guests for conducting survey on higher education development. The delegation members include Director Xue Wanli of National Postdoctoral Management Committee of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Deputy Director Lei Suhua and Deputy Director Li Shigui of Department of Postdoctoral Affairs of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and Deputy Director Gao Xinmin of Human Resources Department of Beijing Municipal Education Commission. The survey meeting is attended by President Wang Yongsheng, Vice President Chen Gang and directors of relating divisions.

On behalf of BISTU, Wang Yongsheng extends warm welcome to the guests and thanks for their guidance. He delivers an introduction to BISTU covering particularly team building, talent cultivation, academic research, commercialization of research projects, and academic disciplinary building. Wang Yongsheng also talks about development vision and strategic objectives of BISTU based on the 13th Five-Year Plan and history of BISTU development. It is hoped that National Postdoctoral Management Committee, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and Beijing Municipal Education Commission would pay more attention to development of BISTU and produce more suggestions for application that BISTU submits for postdoctoral program. Says Wang Yongsheng. He adds that BISTU is confident in building a high-level university with distinct feature in information technology and better serving construction of Beijing as “four centers” as well as national development strategy.

Xue Wanli says the delegation members are happy to conduct survey at BISTU. The meeting shows great importance that BISTU has attached to long-term planning of academic disciplines and scientific development. With long history of academic development and distinct feature of education, BISTU has made tremendous achievements in respect of talent cultivation, academic research, industry-education-research collaboration, and innovation and entrepreneurship. The planning of BISTU in postdoctoral education is realistic and in accordance with BISTU future development and economic development of Beijing. Comments Xu Wanli.
