BISTU Learning Assistance Center Officially Established

Beijing, 26th April 2018 (BISTU)— Inauguration Ceremony for BISTU Learning Assistance Center, attended by Chairman Wang Chuanliang of University Council, President Wang Yongsheng, Vice President Wang Xiuyan and hosted by Vice President Xu Baojie, successfully concludes on Xiaoying Campus on the morning of 25th April, 2018. The ceremony also welcomes directors of relating divisions, vice deans of relating schools, and representatives of students.

Establishment of Learning Assistance Center is aimed at implementation of the spirit of national conference on ideological education in higher educational institutions and enhancement of tutoring system construction at BISTU.

General information of the Learning Assistance Center is introduced by Wang Xiuyan. It covers scheme design, organization, coordination and guidance, actual implementation, service, and appraisal of learning assistance at BISTU. In the following steps, more learning assistance sub-centers will be established in all BISTU schools. The center holds onto the principle of “all involved with on-and-off-campus practice, omni-bearing development with innovation, and all-though implementation with graded guidance”. It will provide services in six aspects including academic tutorial, peer guidance, development help, learning consultation, learning intervention, and morality and style of learning.  

To make sure effectiveness of work of Learning Assistance Center and produce systematic support, BISTU will publish eight documentation covering management of tutors, practice scheme for academic tutorial, peering guidance, cultivation scheme for ‘students of diligence and honor’, practice of learning consultation, support and intervention of learning, and planning of morality and style of learning.    

Establishment of Learning Assistance Center is the milestone of construction of learning assistance at BISTU and the Center will strive to produce the best support and service for all students.
