Wang Chuanliang Conducts Teaching Survey at School of Electromechanical Engineering

Beijing, 7th March, 2018 (BISTU)— BISTU Chairman of University Council and Vice President Liu Xiaoyi, accompanied by corresponding division directors, conduct teaching survey at School of Electromechanical Engineering and host talks with deans and faculties. This survey aims at facilitating implementation and learning of the spirit of the 19th CPA National Congress.

Following the report delivered by the School, Wang Chuanliang hosts the talks with faculties and enquires in detail about their teaching, difficulties, and their expectations upon the University. He positively comments the achievements that the School has made in party building, team building, academic research, teaching, education, and social service. Wang Chuanliang shares with all faculties BISTU objectives and mission/ vision. He says that BISTU is facing with development bottleneck. However, all faculties and staff are working together to overcome it. He requests that the School shall, in the first place, strengthen party building and activate the core role of the Party in political life. Secondly, all shall be confident and contribute to construction of the New Campus and development of the University. And thirdly, the strength in teaching of the School shall be improved and more moves are expected in terms of team building.

With regard to party building, Wang Chuanliang requests that School Party Committee shall strictly follow the requirements produced by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the CPC 19th National Congress, and conferences on ideological work in higher educational institutions of the nation and of Beijing. Political construction deserves enough attention. Grass-roots party organizations shall play the gate-keeper role in professional ethics, talent introduction, and professional title appointment. The work in ideology, party building, and security enjoys priority. It is recommended that class teaching is a major channel for ideological education to be implemented in all aspects.  

With regard to construction of the New Campus, Wang Chuanliang emphasizes that it is the most important political issue of BISTU for current stage. The University Council spares no effort to facilitate construction of the New Campus in that it is, in addition to contributing to shifting non-capital functions of Beijing, an important move for BISTU to obtain broader space. And then a solid foundation would be laid for sustainable development of the University.  

Wang Chuanliang comments on team building that BISTU has faculties who are capable, competent, and hardworking and who have great potentials. They are the major pillar for construction of five environments at BISTU. In the past two year we have been working very hard to break bottleneck of development in space. It is thus hoped that the School shall consider how to establish a mechanism to introduce more talents while fully utilize current talents.  

Wang Chuanliang hopes that all faculties and staff shall treat what is happening with BISTU in an historical, developmental perspective. All shall bear in mind the goal of BISTU to go back to the list of national leading universities. And the bright future of the University, via construction of five environments, shall be a major issue to ponder over.  

Liu Xiaoyi fully, positively comments achievements that the School has made in past years as well as the outstanding contribution to construction of five environments. He hopes that the School keeps focusing on party building, ideological education, and security work so as to contribute more to development of BISTU.  

Chairman Wang Jifang of the School delivers a report on party building issues at the School and introduces the core role of School Council in every aspect of work. Dean Huang Min introduces application and construction of national elite teaching team of the School. They express that based on requirements of the University, the School will review past successes and failures to contribute more to construction of five environments and the University’s 2020 objective.
