Beijing, 8th March, 2017 (BISTU)--- President Wang Yongsheng meets with Oakland University (OU) delegation, led by Professor Louay Chamra, Dean of College of Computer Science and Engineering. The Delegation members also talk to BISTU students for External Projects.
Wang Yongsheng extends warmest welcome to the Delegation and expresses that cooperation between BISTU and OU has been very successful. BISTU students returned from OU with outstanding marks. It is a proof that the two institutions are working very successfully together. Wang Yongsheng happily accepts the invitation sent by OU President. It is expected that cooperation will be more successful and more collaborative projects will be developed to offer rich opportunities for students of both sides. Says Wang Yongsheng.
Chamra says that it is a true honor to visit BISTU again. It feels like coming back to another home. He thanks BISTU for the enormous efforts paid to cooperation and believes that the future will be much brighter. OU will also spare no effort to offering better service with BISTU students. Says Chamra.
According to Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department, the External Project is the only degree program that has been officially approved by Beijing Municipal Education Commission. With great help and support from Academic Affairs Office, BISTU students and their parents are well informed of this project and currently there is no vacancy for 2016 quota.
Latest policy of External Project and progress of the Project at BISTU is introduced by Jin Chunhua , Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office. On the meeting, Vice Dean Lv Yong of School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering and Vice Dean Zhang Wei of School of Computer Science also exchange ideas with the Delegation on short-term exchange programs and 2+2 dual degree undergraduate programs.
After the meeting, OU Delegation hosts a talk with BISTU students who are to participate in External Project. In the seminar, OU Delegation answers questions raised by the students with regard to life and learning in the States and encourages students to be more courageous and confident.
